Admission details for First Year Degree Course in Engineering

First Year Degree Course

The college offers BE Degree Courses in :

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Artificial Intelligence & Data Science
  • Electronics & Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering

80 % seats of the sanctioned intake are admitted through the centralized process, while the remaining 20 % are admitted at Institute level.

51% of the centralized admission seats are under Minority Quota.

Centralize Admission Process

Eligibility:  As per the Directives of the DTE/ Competent Authority / Regulatory Authority 
  1. Candidate should be an Indian National.
  2. Should have passed HSC (Std. XII) Examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent Examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical or Vocational subjects.
  3. Secured minimum 45% marks (minimum 40% marks in case of candidates of Backward Class categories and Physically handicapped belonging only to Maharashtra State) with the subjects Physics and Mathematics along with one subject out of Chemistry / Biology / Bio-Technology / Technical Vocational subjects added together.
  4. Obtained Score in MH-CET 2021 / JEE-MAIN 2021 conducted by the Competent Authority and having DTE / ARA Application ID/Merit No. of CAP.
  • The aspiring candidates must apply online through the CET Cell.

After the Allotment of the seat by DTE, the candidates must report to the ARC and the respective institute for confirmation of the admission.

Institute Level Admission :

 Eligibility : As per the Directives of the DTE/ Competent Authority / Regulatory Authority

  • The aspiring candidates must separately apply to the Institute for admission under this quota.
  • A Separate merit list of the candidates who have applied through the Institute Quota would be prepared based on the CAP merit numbers of the candidates.
  • Candidates must keep checking the institute website for details regularly.
  • Admission to the eligible candidates would be done strictly as per the merit only, after verification of the documents.

Vacant Seats after the Centralised Admission Process will be filled by the Institute as per the guidelines are given in the “Rules & Institute Information Brochure for the Academic year 2021-22” by DTE / ARA / Govt. of Maharashtra.

  • Physical / Medical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner
  • Duly signed printout of Anti-Ragging Affidavit submitted online on www.anti-ragging.in by Candidate and Parent (Enter the Application ID allotted by CTE CAP as Reference No.)
  • Migration Certificate & XII Passing Certificate (applicable for those passed XIIth Examination from other than Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education
  • Gap Certificate if applicable
  • Proof of Income for the previous year issued by the appropriate authorities such as Form No.16 or any other of parents for those candidates who wish to claim the financial benefits i.e. category candidates, EBC/Minority candidates from Govt. or from any other organization if applicable.
  • Application Registration printout of CAP (DTE / ARA ) indicating Application ID No.
  • Print out of duly signed University of Mumbai Pre-Admission online Registration Form. ( Refer Website: http://mumadmission.digitaluniversity.ac )

In addition to the above documents following documents will be required:

Proof of Christian / Roman Catholic Minority Status:
Candidates College Leaving Certificate with Religion mentioned as “Christian / Roman Catholic”
OR
School / College Leaving Certificate of Student’s Father / Brother / Unmarried Sister with Religion mentioned as “Christian / Roman Catholic”
OR
Proforma stating that he /she is a Christian / Roman Catholic along with Baptism Certificate and letter from Parish Priest / bishop.  
AND
Domicile Certificate from the State of Maharashtra

Direct Second year Admissions:

10 % seats of the sanctioned intakes would be admitted through the centralized process directly to the Second Year Engineering.                                                                                                                                       

The admission process would be as per the DTE Directives

Eligibility :  As per the Directives of the DTE/ Competent Authority / Regulatory Authority

  1. Candidate should be an Indian National.
  2. Should have passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent

OR B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject.

  1. Secured minimum 45% marks (minimum 40% marks in case of candidates of Backward Class categories and Physically handicapped belonging only to Maharashtra State).
